Community Shield 2026: Full Results and Highlights

News 5 August 2026

The 2026 London Unity League Community Shield took place last Saturday at Goals Beckenham, and it was a tremendous day of football enjoyed by players, supporters, and volunteers alike.

In the main event, Islington Phantoms faced Bermondsey Lions in what turned out to be a closely contested final. After ninety minutes of competitive play, the match finished 2–2 before Islington Phantoms claimed the shield on penalties, winning 4–3 in an tense shootout.

The Golden Boot for the tournament went to Marcus Reid of Bermondsey Lions, who scored three goals across the day. The Fair Play Award was presented to Vauxhall Rovers, whose conduct throughout was exemplary and drew particular praise from our refereeing team.

A huge thank you goes to all the volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly, to our sponsors for their continued support, and to every player who took part in the spirit the league was founded on.

Full results from all group stage and knockout matches are now available in the Results section of the website. Photos from the day will be shared on our social media channels over the coming week.
