London Unity League is growing. This season we are delighted to welcome three new clubs to Division Two: Hackney Strikers FC, Southwark United, and Forest Gate Athletic.
Hackney Strikers FC were formed in early 2026 by a group of friends who had been playing together informally for several years. After hearing about the league through a community event, they assembled a squad and submitted their application. We have been impressed by their organisation and enthusiasm from the very first contact.
Southwark United come to us with a strong connection to their local LGBTQ+ community centre, where many of their players met. They have a clear identity and a real sense of purpose, and we believe they will be a wonderful addition to the league.
Forest Gate Athletic are the third new club, based in east London. Their manager, Daniel Okonkwo, previously played in Division One with Stratford City before helping to set up this new side.
All three clubs have completed their registration, attended the pre-season briefing, and are ready to compete. We ask all existing clubs to give them a warm welcome on match days and to help them settle into the league.
Full fixture lists including the new clubs are now available on the website.
